Beikun Youth Scientist Award 2025 Application Guide

In order to encourage original innovation, cultivate young scientific and technological workers, create a multi-dimensional empowering ecosystem for scientific and technological innovation, and help the leapfrog development of scientific and technological innovation, the "Beikun Youth Scientist Award" was specially established. In order to do a good job in the application for the 2025 "Beikun Youth Scientist Award", the relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. The application scope
is based on the principle of future-oriented and emphasis on potential, involving scientific and technological innovation in the fields of high-end chemical engineering, new materials, new energy, biomedicine, high-end equipment manufacturing, artificial intelligence, etc., and focuses on funding disciplines such as chemistry, chemical engineering and technology, materials science and engineering, energy power, bioengineering, biology and medicine, mechanical engineering, electronic science and technology, computer science and technology, artificial intelligence and other disciplines and related interdisciplinary disciplines.

2. The number and amount
of rewards are 10 million yuan, and no more than 5 people per year.

3. Application conditions:
Young scientific and technological workers who work full-time in mainland China and Hong Kong and Macao have the nationality of the People's Republic of China and generally do not exceed 45 years old (born on January 1, 1980 and later), and women can be relaxed to 48 years old (born on January 1, 1977 and later).

4. Application and nomination channels
(I) Personal application
Log in to the "Beikun Youth Scientist Award" application official website http://www.csiirc.com and enter the "Award Application" section to apply.
(2) Expert nominations
shall be determined by the management committee of the "Beikun Youth Scientist Award", and each expert can only nominate one candidate per year. For details of the specific methods and nomination procedures, please refer to the attachment.

5. Relevant requirements
(1) Application materials must be applied in accordance with the channels specified in this notice. The application materials for this award are paperless. Please fill in strictly in accordance with the "Fill instructions" and upload the corresponding stamps, signatures and attachment materials.
(2) See the attachment for details of the "Beikun Youth Scientist Award" charter, filling instructions and other materials.
(3) The individuals who are proposed to nominate by experts shall make 5 working days for public announcement at their unit and the completion unit. The public announcement shall include the basic information of the nominee, the basic information of representative results, the recommendations of the unit, the results profile, objective evaluation and the catalog of main intellectual property rights, etc. Nominations can only be made if there is no objection to the public announcement.
